Anne Sery, winemaker for Trousse-Chemise, was born and raised in Reunion Island, a tropical French island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, off the East Coast of Madagascar. She is a French enologist, getting experience from the age of 14 with her family, that manages about 30+ single vineyards and a custom crush facility. After graduating from the Master’s program of Viticulture and Oenology of the ENITA of Bordeaux, she received her National Diploma of Enology from the University of Bordeaux. After interning at some prestigious domaines in Burgundy, she moved to the United States and fell in love with the wine country of the Pacific Northwest. This cabernet sauvignon has a small addition of malbec but is very Washington in style, with big fruit and big oak, while managing to stay well balanced and plush with well-integrated tannins.
