Noëlla Morantin, originally from Brittany, started making wine in the Touraine in 2008. A random encounter with a professor of viticulture inspired her to start learning about wine, and this hobby quickly became an obsession. In 2001, she quit her job and started viniculture/viticulture school, and after working with other people for years, she started renting and purchasing her own land in the Loire. All of her wines are classified as Vin de France, because she did not want to deal with AOC politics and feels her wines speak for themselves without it. The ‘La Boudinerie’ is 100% gamay from certified organic vines that is fermented partially whole-cluster, giving it juicy pomegranate, cherry, and berry flavors with streaks of barnyard and dried herbs on the nose. It is a touch tingly/spritzy on the palate at first with lower tannin and balanced acidity. Certified organic, low-intervention, vegan.
