The Jack Daniel’s brand is synonymous with Tennessee whiskey. Holder of the title of oldest registered distillery in America, legend has it that Jasper Newtown Daniel learned the art of distilling from the Reverend Dan Call, including the famed “Lincoln County process”, where unaged whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal to impart an especially mellow character. In 1866, Jasper bought the land in Lynchburg, TN, where the distillery remains today. No.7 (or Black Label), is Jack Daniel’s classic whiskey. Made in the sour mash style, it is similar to bourbon with the addition of the “Lincoln County process” prior to barreling. Smooth and lightly smoky, No.7 offers light touches of butterscotch, caramel, and vanilla, with some oak and toffee on the palate and a toasty corn syrup note throughout. A hint of licorice on a quick, sweet, caramel finish wrap things up nicely.
Gift pack includes two rocks glasses.
