Charlotte Hardy (middle name Dalton) is the proprietor of Charlotte Dalton Wines in Australia. She has been making wine all over the world for close to 20 years, and enjoying drinking it for even longer! The embodiment of "joie de vivre", she says, “I think wine can be felt. I get so much joy making the Charlotte Dalton wines that surely, you will feel the joy when you drink them. I firmly believe that a wine must be made with a happy heart and a content soul”. Some of her wines are named after what her mother would say to her and her three brothers every night before bed, “love you, love me—love me, love you”. This 100% pinot noir comes from the Adelaide Hills and is fermented whole cluster with no punch downs or pump overs - just left to be, in a low-intervention style. It is pressed to new French oak to mellow through the winter, which gives it wonderful balance and an integrated influence of oak and spice. It possesses the bright, cherry fruit tones classic of pinot noir while remaining lively and delicate with a silky, dry, clean finish. Sustainably grown, vegan.
