Aimé Boucher was a famous winemaker who established his winery in 1923 near the famous Chambord château, in the heart of the Loire Valley. He is the creator of Chambord, the world’s most famous raspberry liqueur. In the 1980’s, he decided to focus on that brand and sold his wine production to Maison Bougrier, a family-owned company since 1885. Six generations have shaped the family business, making terroir-driven wines in the Loire since the beginning. They are known today to be one of the last family houses to cover the entire Loire Valley, making wines from Nantes to Sancerre. This vividly pink rosé is a 50/50 blend of gamay and grolleau, with aromas of bright red berries and candy, lovely acidity and a touch of sweet fruit, as is classic of rosés from the Anjou.
